WIMAYA: Interdisciplinary Journal of International Affairs

Focus and Scope 

WIMAYA is an international scholarly journal dedicated to international affairs. Published biannually (June and December) by the International Relations Department, University of Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jawa Timur, the journal champions an interdisciplinary approach—a crucial lens for navigating the multifaceted complexities of the contemporary global landscape.

WIMAYA welcomes both empirical and theoretical research articles that transcend disciplinary boundaries. This interdisciplinary lens fosters nuanced analyses of international phenomena, encompassing foreign policy, diplomacy, international and regional cooperation, and comparative area studies.

The journal holds a particular interest in research that explores the dynamic interplay between global forces and local contexts. Submissions that illuminate the transnational diffusion of norms, ideas, and policies are especially encouraged.

Additionally, WIMAYA values insightful book reviews that contribute meaningfully to the existing body of knowledge within international affairs.

Following the issuance of the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia Number 295/C/C3/KPT/2026 dated January 2, 2026, regarding the Accreditation Ranking of Scientific Journals for Period 2 of 2025. Based on this decision, WIMAYA has been officially accredited at SINTA 2 (starting from V5N02 2024 to V10N01 2029). 

Currently, the Editorial Team is still awaiting the issuance of the official accreditation certificate through the ARJUNA system. Further updates will be provided once the certificate has been released.
